WHO ARE WE?

If we could tell you who we seek to be in a single phrase it is,
"a loving family seeking to honor God with our lives."

We believe that church is essentially a family or a home. We want to be a group of people that cares for each other and provides warmth to those who need it. We seek to be a group that knows one another, and accepts one another with all of  our imperfections. We realize that everyone comes from a variety of backgrounds, families, pasts and we will treat anyone at Northwest with acceptance and respect.  We are not interested in being a country club, we want to serve one another and live in a way that honors God even if that demands difficult sacrifices on our part. We continually focus on what the Bible says and accept that as our source of authority.

ATMOSPHERE

When we get together we could be described as a relaxed and casual group of people yet excited and passionate about worshiping God.  We try our best to be friendly and encouraging to each other every time we get together.  We are not a judgmental church, and understand that we are all imperfect and are reliant upon God for forgiveness and his gift of grace.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to make disciples.  Disciples are believers who continually grow in faith and maturity in their relationship with God.  We know that helping someone accept Christ is difficult. We also realize that we all need to continue to grow in our faith long after we make the decision to follow Christ.  We think that making disciples is more than just conversion.  We believe that Christians are to help others just like Jesus did. Whether that means visiting shut-ins, making meals for underprivileged children, or counseling someone through someone difficult times. We believe that is all a part of what it means to develop disciples.

It's difficult to describe on paper what a church is like.  Who are_You_Blocks

Having read a multitude of Church descriptions ourselves, the last thing we want is to leave you with a dry commentary or a series of mission statements that leave one with no impression at all of about what Northwest is actually about.
