So... You bravely clicked on the "I'm New" Button! Thanks for taking the time to check us out. We are guessing if you have landed on this page you are doing some preliminary recon to make to make sure you don't end up walking into an uncomfortable situation.  We understand that completely and have created this page to eliminate as much of the unknown as possible. If you still have questions simply email nwcoc@nwcoc.org and we'll be happy to answer some specifics.

In everything we do we believe in guiding others into a deeper relationship with God. Northwest is a diverse community of all generations that inspires others to follow Christ.  We inspire followers by placing biblical understanding and positive relationships on center-stage allowing everyone to sharpen and be sharpened by one another.

We mess up. We make mistakes.

We know how incredible and rare it is to receive acceptance and forgiveness when it is undeserved.  We appreciate how Jesus’ sinless shoulders took the weight of our dark mistakes so that we could be seen by God, not as enemies worthy of His punishment, but as His children worthy of His love, protection, forgiveness, and grace. We are completely overwhelmed by a God who is capable of that kind of love.

This video helps communicate God's Message and the reason our church exists.

Northwest is an authentic and positive place. We believe that we have so much to celebrate because of what God has done in our lives. We are not a judgmental church. We know that we are reliant upon God for forgiveness, and He is our only means of salvation. We could described as a relaxed and casual group of people who are excited and passionate about worshiping & serving God.

Faith City is where the Bible comes to life through hands on experiences. Children have the opportunity to engage all their senses while experiencing the Bible in one of four distinct classrooms each week: Theatre,  Diner, Park, andMuseum. Faith City is open every Sunday morning during Bible class. Doors open at 9:00, and class starts at 9:15and again Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.

One of the things you will notice on your first Sunday is that we sing without musical instruments in worship. We find there is something beautiful and simple about each person pouring their heart out to God in worship without the distraction and the complexity that can come with other styles of worship. We are not interested in putting on a show, we want to experience God together.

We want you to feel welcome to attend anything that Northwest has going on. Whether to a Bible class, a Life Group, and event, or anything else that may be going on we want to encourage you to go and feel welcome.  Visitors have a standing invitation to anything that we have going on.

We know that many across our nation find a place to worship, but struggle to belong to a church community. We want to help.  If you want help in connecting more deeply at Northwest give us a call at 727-345-2836, send us an email at nwcoc@nwcoc.org, or visit the welcome center and we will help you find the best place to start.

Sunday Classes: 9:15am - 10:15am

Each Sunday morning we have adult, teen, and children’s classes from 9:15am to 10:15am on a variety of topics.  For a list of topics for adults check out our website www.nwcoc.org/classes or the class list at the welcome center.

Sunday Worship: 10:30am - 11:30am

Our church encourages intergenerational worship and includes children, teens and adults in the same worship context.  We do offer optional childcare for children 0 - 3 years, and a children’s worship for children 4 years old to first grade.

Life Groups

On Sunday evening we have small groups, also known as Life Groups, that meet at various times throughout the county. Life groups are a wonderful place to get to know others and discuss faith topics.  For more information visit our website www.nwcoc.org/lifegroups or pick up the brochure in the welcome center called “Community Groups.” Life Groups are casual and are extremely helpful in building relationships with others at Northwest as well as gaining a group that is serious about serving the community.

Wednesday Night Adults

We have a variety of things going on between 7:00pm - 8:00pm on Wednesday.  If you are new to our church the best place to start is by attending Life Tree Cafe. It is a conversation cafe that is great for getting to know new people and connecting in meaningful ways. We have many other classes that you may be interested in as well.  We have a ladies class, a men's class, and another adult class that enjoys digging deeper in Bible study.  We also have a single mom’s support group that meets during this time. For a list of our Wednesday night classes visit our welcome center or our website www.nwcoc.org/classes.

Our Wednesday nights are not only for adults, they are fun and transformative for children and teens as well.  Our teens have a Bible class that creates discussion on biblical topics that are relevant to their lives and the issues they face.  In addition, our children have interactive classes that teach them the Bible in a hands on way.
