We are so excited to let you all know there’s a great new resource on the Northwest app for our Faith City families! Each month, we’ll provide a downloadable pdf of an At-Home Lesson Plan that goes along with what we’re doing in Faith City. We know that life happens and you can’t always make it to Sunday School. We want to provide you with options to continue Faith City at home.
Each lesson plan includes a Focus, Bible Verse, Scripture Reference, and Activities that we’re doing in Faith City. There will also be a rotation schedule so you know which activities your child missed. We try to include activities that utilize supplies you probably already have around your house. If you have any questions about the plans, please feel free to contact Brooke or Crystal.
We know that what we do at Faith City is important. As Children’s Ministers, we feel so blessed to share with your kiddos and to take part in their spiritual formation. We take it very seriously. However, we also know that the time we spend with your kids is just a drop in the bucket. What they’re learning at home is so important. And it certainly isn’t just about doing Sunday School activities, it’s the way you talk about others, the things on which you place importance, the presence of prayer in your home, the love you show your children each and every day. Those are things that show them who God is and how they can love others the way that God loves them. We just want to provide you with some extra resources to make faith at home a little bit easier to implement.
We also want you to know that we’re here for you any time you need us. Faith City is a family of families. We want to be your partners as we all seek to raise kind, loving, amazing human beings who love Jesus and want to know Him better. Our office door is always open. You can email, text, or call us if you need someone to listen. We’re parents ourselves, so we understand how difficult and wonderful and challenging and precious are these days. We love you and we love your kids.
What if I don’t have kids in Faith City?
Come volunteer with us and get in on all the fun! We have a blast in Faith City and we would love for you to join us.
And you can still utilize the Faith @ Home plans. Use them with your grandkids, nieces and nephews, neighbors, friends, etc. Anyone can have fun learning about God’s love!
Where do I find the Lesson Plans on the app?
Open the Northwest app and click on “Connect”. Look for “Faith City” and click on it. Next, click on “Faith @ Home” right at the top. You’ll find a list of our Lesson Plans with the newest one listed first. Once you click on the plan you want, you’ll see a button to download the pdf.
