I Pray…

I pray….

Our Father

…I come before you on my knees, as your child, humbly asking that you hear my voice.

Who are in Heaven

…Although your home is unseen, your kingdom still surrounds and envelopes me.

Hallowed be thy name

…All that you are, I reverence. I am in awe of your majesty and can never comprehend the far reached of your power, strength, and splendor.

Thy kingdom come

…Your church shows us the way to you through your Son, and I am blessed to be a vital organ in that body.

Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

…You are the absolute, the creator, the only truth, and will always be sovereign of my life as long as there is breath within me.

Give us this day

…I praise you for each dawning day that fills your hands and is presented to me as a gift.  May I bring you joy and blessings as I present it back to you at sunset.

Our daily bread

…Thank you for my sustenance, whatever it may be, that allows me to service you and your people.

And forgive us our trespasses

…No matter how I try, I will bring you pain sometime.  And although there can be no excuse, I plead for your forgiveness and blessed forgetfulness through your loving mercy.

As we forgive those who trespass against us

…And may I, in my own loving mercy forgive those hurts I believe are committed against me.  Help me to put them away where I might never remember them.

And lead us not into temptation

…It is so easy to give in to my own desires and longings.  Keep my eyes focused on you, no matter how much I may want to put me first.  Fill me with your strength, your power, and your wisdom so that all may lead me to stray fades into nothing.

But deliver us from evil

…When I am pulled into the darkness, lift me up and into your arms where I am safe.

For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory

…You are all in all, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the great I Am – before you I bow.

Forever and ever, Amen

…With you there are no minutes, hours or years, for you are our almighty God, our wonder, our life eternal. I pray that I might one day look upon your brilliance, be immersed in your light, singing at your throne – always.
